Patina Studio grew from a love of Wenwan into an independent small business based in Illinois, United States. We bring together walnut pairs, natural beads, necklaces and collectible objects chosen for their character and the pleasure of enjoying them over time.
Whether you are choosing your first piece or adding to a collection, we want the experience to feel personal, informed and welcoming. We offer guidance in English and Chinese, without making collecting more complicated than it needs to be.

FROM THE SOURCE
Chosen for the years ahead.
We work directly with walnut farmers and distributors in China to source high-quality pairs. Those relationships let us ask better questions about the material, its condition and how the two walnuts have been matched.
We look beyond an eye-catching surface. Shell condition, feel in the hand, form, texture and the balance of a pair all matter. Our focus is on pieces worth spending time with, selected with long-term enjoyment and patina development in mind.
We separate what we can observe from information supplied to us, and share origin details only when available. Other Wenwan materials have their own sources; a direct walnut-sourcing relationship is not a provenance guarantee for every object.
U.S. INVENTORY · THOUGHTFUL HANDLING
Already here. Ready for your collection.
Our in-stock inventory is held in the United States and ships from here. There is no overseas sourcing wait for an in-stock piece. We pack with care and dispatch in-stock orders within 1–3 business days after receiving your completed order.
Handling time is separate from carrier transit time. Available destinations, rates and delivery options are shown at checkout and explained in our Shipping Policy.
Private Sourcing has its own timeline. A piece that needs to be found or brought in from China is not U.S. in-stock inventory. We discuss availability, timing, costs and order-specific terms before you commit.

Know the piece
For individually photographed listings, the photos show the exact pair or piece offered. Check the measurements, starting condition and listing details for what is included. The SKU helps us identify your piece when you contact us.
Understand the condition
We aim to describe visible condition and disclose known repairs or treatments. We will say when a detail is uncertain rather than turn a supplier’s description into a guarantee. Questions about a particular feature are always welcome.
